The Soviet Partisan Movement


It is easy to win a war – you should only take a weapon and fight.

During the Second World War, hundreds of thousands of Soviet people within the occupied territory continued to fight for freedom.

The number of partisans exceed that of several armies and losses by the Vermacht within this territory was more than losses suffered at the frontline. Echelons were destroyed; bridges and military supply depots were blown up. German military camps were attacked. They were able to liberate themselves from a few occupied regions. The partisans organized a substantial Guerilla behind enemy lines.
